Ortese Shorts in plaid

If your girl is already 2 or older, the Ortese shorts are produced three sizes larger than what would normally be the perfect fit. If she's smaller than that, it will be produced one or two sizes up. The elastic waistband of the shorts is equipped with buttonholes and is adjusted using two buttons: this way, you can increase the waist circumference as needed.

The point is to be able to use it for as long as possible: for the first year the shorts will resemble a skirt and be extra breezy and flowy. As your child grows up, it'll have more of a slim fit and sit closer to the body, while maintaining its comfiness.

Because of the proportions of the human body (leg/torso ratio) as it transforms from a baby to a toddler, we choose to size up only once before reaching 92cm (3"6), otherwise the ruffles could look a little unproportional. If however your baby is less than 2 and you're willing to go a bit oversized for the sake of sustainability, don't hesitate to request two size ups in the note section of you check out basket!!!

 

SUSTAINABILITY

This model is made from 100% cotton deadstock (a roll of fabric left over from textile factories) plaid fabric. It's lightweight and can be worn even on the hottest of days, but it's also great for layering.
